I had the pleasure of being a co-Creator in the first ever One Spark in Jacksonville with Beach Life Rentals. I went with no expectations of what it would be like. I was raised right in Atlantic Beach and One Spark absolutely blew me away! I cannot say enough amazing things about the experience and the event as a whole. I made many great connections and I left with even more friends. I was located on the Riverwalk, just West of The Landing; all of the vendors were so very freindly, by the end of the weekend it was they were our family. The volunteer staff were a wonderful help, they were very knowledgeable about what was going on and were very quick to lend a hand. I especially want to thank the men and woman of law enforcement and to everyone involved in making One Spark the success it was. JSO was spectacular, they were very professional and really cared about the city, the people and the event taking place. Officer Read (Reed maybe) was an especially great help to us and I feel an asset to our reviving city and community, he provided many people, including myself with helpful information and a friendly smile. The enitre JSO force felt as if they were there to provide us with security and order, not as a force of Marshall Law, furthermore their professialism and their apparent love for The Bold New City of the South was very comforting as a long-time citizen of Jacksonville.. Officer Read was stationed on the South end of the Water St and S Hogan St intersection.

Due to me being a creator I did not travel much and did not see too many other exhibits, though what I did see was a downtown that looked brighter and more beautiful than I have ever seen it. The entire event made me extremely proud to say this is my Home and We Are Jaguars (Son of a Jags season ticket owner since Day 1) Thursday, May 2, 2013|Report this
