Watercolor Workshop

Ted Head

Two day workshop

Saturday, May 18, 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Sunday, May 19, 1:15 p.m. -4:15 p.m.

Cost- $110 (not including materials)

We’ll explore how to get what’s in our hearts onto paper, concentrating on

composition and color harmony, as well as technique. Templates will be provided for those who lack drawing skills. Appropriate for all levels.

Ted paints with watercolors or transparent oils, using several glazes to achieve rich darks and vibrant contrasts. Detailed and realistic in style, he endeavors to “see” beyond the obvious to create an image that surpasses the confines of a photograph...shadows infused with color, reflections taking on surrounding hues. In May, 2006, American Artist featured Ted’s work and the story of his successfully launching into watercolor. He was later published in the prestigious SPLASH 11, the Best of Watercolor; Best of America Watercolor Artists & Artisians; Best of America Watermedia, and the cover of the annual Jacksonville Business Journal Book of Lists. He is a Signature member of the Florida Watercolor Society.
