SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): When explorer Ernest Shackleton was planning his 1914 expedition to Antarctica, he placed this ad in London newspapers: "Wanted: For hazardous journey. Small wages, bitter cold, long months of complete darkness, constant danger, return doubtful. Honor and recognition in case of success." Would you respond to a notice like that today? Hope not. It's true your sense of adventure is ratcheting up. You're itching for intense engagement with the good kind of darkness that's inspired smoldering wisdom, but you can sate those yearnings without being at risk or being deprived.
