Artist Diemut Strebe made a 3-D-printed re-creation of Vincent van Gogh's famous ear to display in June and July in a Karlsruhe, Germany, museum. He built it partially with genes from a great-great-grand-nephew of van Gogh's, in the same shape, based on computer imaging technology. It's said van Gogh cut off his ear in 1888 during a psychotic episode. Visitors can speak into the ear and hear sounds it receives.
