The Riverside Arts Market fifth anniversary season opening was celebrated by thousands of faithful Jacksonville-area arts, entertainment and shopping lovers March 2. The Stanton College Preparatory Blue Devils Marching Band led the opening parade through the lines of bustling vendor booths. Jacksonville Mayor Alvin Brown thanked civic leaders and RAM founder Wayne Wood for their vision and dedication in creating and sustaining the popular Saturday destination. Wood said the market was “something bigger than all of us” and promised that it would continue to grow and thrive for years to come. The Navy Band Southeast’s TGIF Dixieland Band and popular local band Antique Animals entertained market-goers throughout the afternoon, as others visited the market’s 162 booths.

Cute pictures but I think you missed the most important one: me making a fool of myself twirling a baton in the parade. :) Monday, March 4|Report this
