"Swingin' Jazz Classics & More!"

THE LISA KELLY JAZZ COLLECTIVE-

95 CORDOVA RESTAURANT LOUNGE/CASA MONICA HOTEL

On Friday and Saturday evenings, the Casa Monica Hotel proudly presents high quality entertainment for the listening & light dancing enjoyment of its guests in the “95 Cordova” dinner lounge. Based in the region, internationally jazz vocalist Lisa Kelly regularly appears at Casa Monica with her “Lisa Kelly Jazz Collective,” a classic jazz small group, featuring top shelf fellow musicians from the region, including pianists Jeff Phillips or Joshua Bowlus, drummer Clyde Connor and guest bassists. A five time DownBeat Magazine award winning vocalist/composer and recent inductee into the 2013 “Jacksonville Jazz Festival’s Hall of Fame,” Kelly is among 120 international jazz artists profiled in the book, “The New Face of Jazz.” Featured vocalist with the Larry Elgart Orchestra, the St. Johns River City Big Band, the University of North Florida Jazz Ensemble 1, and co-leader of several groups, Kelly has released five successful CD recordings and created quite a following of loyal jazz fans. Influenced by the ‘Greats,’ including Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Carmen McCrae, and Diana Krall, Kelly brings her warm, soothing sophisticated vocal style to Casa Monica, with a repertoire that includes swinging classics from The Great American Songbook, A.C. Jobim Latin favorites, to fresh interpretations of Jazz Standards in light funk grooves, blues, shuffle s and more. Website: www.kellyscottmusic.com
