When you see your shadow, it’s usually right beside you, on the ground or floor, a fuzzy black shape that follows closely. Today I saw my shadow waving back at me from afar. I was atop a hill, and the sun’s rays created a dusky version of me in the meadow down below. This is a useful metaphor for an opportunity. In the next few days, you’ll be able to view your personality’s shadowy, undeveloped parts as if from a distance. You’ll have more objectivity, thus greater compassion. You can get a calm, clear sense of how they might be mucking with your happiness and how to transform them.
