Frog Frolic at Adventure Landing
More than $1,000 raised for American Red Cross Volunteer Lifesaving Corps
On June 29, Adventure Landing hosted the Frog Frolic at Shipwreck Island Waterpark. It wasn't a sunny day but was a cool, over cast day perfect for a frog race. The frogs raced down The Rage water slide as a crowd gathered along the Little St. John's River to watch. Dawn Wade, Adventure Landing manager, said more than 500 frogs were purchased and raced which amounted to more than $1,000 raised for the American Red Cross Volunteer Lifesaving Corps. Each frog had a number on its underside, and prizes were given out to the first frogs to make it down The Rage. First prize was a Paddleboard donated by Aqua East, a surf shop in Neptune Beach; other prizes were a Go Pro Camera, four park season passes, and four three-attraction park passes donated by Adventure Landing. With every frog purchased, Adventure Landing also gave away coupons for half off waterpark admission.
