Come out and enjoy beautiful Florida landscapes painted by the distinguished Florida Highwaymen! The Highwaymen are a historical group of black artists that has been painting Florida landscapes since the 1950s. When they started they sold their paintings out of their cars on Florida highways. The two artists featured in this show are James Gibson and A.J. Brown. Gibson is an original Highwayman and Brown is a 2nd generation. A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the North Florida Land Trust, a non-profit organization dedicated to permanently preserving natural areas in North Florida.
