Felix the Peanut Man

Felix Jones peddles his wares on the corner of Centre and Third in Fernandina Beach on Jan. 24. For 22 years, Jones -- born with mental disabilities -- has been doing maintenance at Walmart, supplementing his income by selling peanuts, pineapples, mangos and his mother's homemade cookies from his tricycle. In 2009, Fernandina Beach famously tried to stop him by labeling him an unlicensed vendor, though the city relented after hundreds of residents marched on City Hall chanting his name. When asked to take the podium at the rally, Jones only played "My Country 'tis of Thee" on his harmonica.
