Kimmy Van Kooten will be the featured author. Ms. Van Kooten is a mother of eleven who spends stolen moments writing poems and creating illustrations. Beginning at 3 p.m., the first hour of this month’s reading will feature a community microphone portion, open to all who wish to share an original poem or one from a favorite writer. A 4 p.m., Kimmy will present poems from her new collection, “Peace of Language”, as well as pieces from her prolific body of work. The author will be available to sign copies of her book after her presentation. Books featuring illustrations by Kimmy Van Kooten are available for purchase on line at Amazon.com and they will also be available at the reading.
