Bouquets to St. Johns County Deputy Dan Sorrells, who rescued and has now adopted a 70-pound Labrador mix, which had been stabbed and slashed on one side of its neck. The dog’s former owner, Randal Bryan Hart, 28, charged with animal cruelty, was being held in St. Johns County Jail on $5,000 bond. Hart relinquished ownership of the dog at the scene when he was arrested Jan. 14. The dog, Amber, is being treated at Atlantic Veterinary Clinic.
