Our first Million Meal Packaging Event is just one week away! North Jacksonville Baptist Church will be hosting this event on July 26 & 27.

Join us for a two day packaging event where our goal it to package 1 MILLION MEALS that will be distributed to hungry families in the First Coast. These meals will supplement the schools' backpack program and the shelves of local food pantries.

A packing event consists of multiple assembly lines of twelve volunteers who measure, fill, seal and box fortified meals. Volunteers, as young as 6 years old, work together for two short hours and pack thousands of meals. The fun you'll have will leave a lasting impression on your heart.

We will be packing two different meals,

-Beans and Rice that includes rice, pre cooked dried beans, soy protein, six dried vegetables, and 21 different vitamins and minerals. AND

-Maccaroni and Cheese that includes macaroni, soy protein, 21 vitamins and minerals, and a packet of cheese sauce.

Each bag packed contains enough food to provide six servings, and a typical event lasts two hours with each person generally packing around 350 meals. This event will change your life while helping thousands of people right here in Jacksonville.

The Event will be held at North Jacksonville Baptist Church Community Center located at 8531 N. Main Street. This is just the first of many more stops in the Jacksonville Area that will HELP US END HUNGER. Please log on to www.Hungerfight.org to register for a day and time slot.
